  1. Take 500 grams grated fresh cassava(squeeze the juice)
  2. Take 5 Tbsp glutinous rice flour

  5. Make ready 1 tetra pack coconut cream
  6. Prepare 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  7. Take 1 tbsp margarine for greasing the pan
  8. Take 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (topping)

If using fresh casasva, make sure to squeeze out the liquid. If using frozen, move on to the next step. In a large mixing bowl, add cassava, coconut milk, butter, egg, evaporated milk, sugar, condensed milk, and mix until well combined. Cassava cake is made from grated cassava, coconut milk, and condensed milk with a custard layer on top.

Steps to make Cassava Cake:
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. - Prepare a baking pan (I used 8"x 8" sguare pan) and grease with butter. Set aside.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. - Pour to the greased baking tray. - Bake for 40 minutes.
  3. Mix the topping ingredients then pour-in over to the top of the baked cassava. - Bake for another 15 minutes or until the toppings are caramelized/turned brown. - Remove from oven and let it cool slightly before serving or if you can wait ;) till it cools down completely (I prefer it cold).
