The ingredients needed to make Ton-ney:
  1. Make ready 1 cup semolina
  2. Make ready 3 eggs
  3. Prepare 1 pinch Saffron food colour
  4. Make ready 1/2 cup Chicken/mutton (cooked and shredded)
  5. Take Water (enough to mix ingredients)
  6. Take Oil for shallow fry
  7. Prepare Salt as required

  9. Make ready 1 small onion (sliced)

  11. Prepare 2 chillies (chopped)
  12. Get 1 bunch curry leaves
  13. Make ready 1/2 cup crushed coconut
Steps to make Ton-ney:
  1. Heat a tbsp of oil in a frying pan.. put curry leaves and chillies.. fry it till crisp.
  2. Add sliced onion and saute well.. put little salt and fry it till transparent.
  3. Put crushed coconut and fry it just for 2 mins.
  4. Take out the pan from stove..
  5. Put in chicken/mutton, semolina and eggs.. mix very well.. Add a pinch of saffron colour. And add little water.. the consistency of batter should be thick. Add salt (if required).
  6. Keep frying pan on a stove, heat it well. Spread the mixture/ batter and put a tsp of oil around. Fry on both side till it's crispy at edges..
  7. Serve hot
